Berry oolong tea fruit smoothie recipe

We love fruit smoothie recipes and we love a good oolong tea.

The health benefits of oolong tea are endless!! Packed with antioxidants and vital vitamins and minerals, oolong teas have been found to aid weight loss, help manage stress levels and help prevent cancer. So, why not experiment adding it to your morning smoothies.

It can be a daunting task to find healthy smoothie recipes that actually taste great! Fear not, one of our favourite food bloggers has done just that with this super tasty, fruity, smoothie recipe using lots of fruit and our Mountain Pearl oolong tea ūü홬†This delicious recipe was concocted by Charley Roberts @charleyshealth. Serves 2 (we tend to pop one in the fridge for the next day)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (drinking kind not canned)
  • 100g strawberries
  • 1 1/2 scoops vegan vanilla protein
  • 1/2 cup freshly brewed mountain pearl oolong tea
  • 170g frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts
  • Dash of vanilla extract

Brewing Instructions for the perfect cup of Mountain Pearl Oolong Tea:

Step 1: Use one teaspoon per cup. 
Step 2:¬†Use freshly drawn boiled water that has been allowed to cool to 90¬ļC
Step 3: Infuse 2 to 5 minutes according to personal taste. 

Method: 

Check you have everything before you begin! 

Note: You may wish to chop up the fruit to accommodate your blender.

  1. Add all of the above prepared ingredients into your blender
  2. Blitz until smooth and creamy (approximately 2 minutes)
  3. Pour into a bowl of your choice and top with fresh fruits and your favourite toppings.
