Overnight oats are the perfect breakfast to make in advance when you know you will be running out the door the next morning. You probably think that you've seen all the possible overnight oats recipes by now - with berries, coconut yoghurt, bananas, chia seeds, peanut butter, almond milk, and the list goes on. But we've got something very different in store for you.
We've incorporated our fruity Super Berry tea into this hero breakfast recipe. Bursting with skin-loving antioxidants, it gives the oats a tart, fresh flavour. So here is how you whip it up:
Ingredients – makes 1 jar/ 1 bowl
1 cup oats
1/2 cup milk or your choice (I have used almond milk)
1/2 cup brewed We Are Tea Super Berry tea
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
2 tbsp coconut yogurt (optional but it will make the oats thick and creamy)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Fresh berries / fruit of your choice
Other optional toppings:
Chopped nuts & seeds
Step 1. Mash the raspberries with a fork until you have a compote-like type of consistency.
Step 2. Place the oats into a bowl and add all the other ingredients apart from the toppings. Mix everything well together. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and place it in the fridge overnight.
Step 3. In the morning, you should have a thick and creamy porridge-like consistency. Serve it in a bowl or in a jar (if you are on the go) with fresh fruit and toppings of your choice.
